VIBRATIONAL TRUTH: USING THE VOICE TO HEAL INTERNAL DISCONNECT
I could write volumes about this. I have lived it in my own body.
I am someone who has always worked with the voice — many years as a radio journalist, presenter, and singer. Because of this, anyone might assume I was deeply comfortable with self-expression. But I was not. I learned early in my upbringing not to react, not to express my emotions, not to say everything I thought.
And do you know what happened? I developed serious problems with my thyroid — a gland of enormous importance to the body, located in the throat, and in my case a nodule appeared. Problems in my uterus. Even in the development of the bones of my spine. You may wonder: what does the voice have to do with problems in the uterus? The answer is simple: when we do not communicate what we feel in intimate relationships with our partner, when we do not set boundaries, or when there is some form of abuse or betrayal that has not been spoken — the body keeps the score. But returning to the throat — the symptoms developed over time because, early on, I stopped valuing my own voice. I felt that even if I expressed it, it would have no importance to those who heard it. So I learned to ignore it to the point of no longer recognising it. I buried it inside myself, and although I was always deeply spiritual, I disconnected from my emotions. The deepest ones, because they had not been expressed, transformed into anger and resentment. And even those feelings I learned to set aside — because it did not suit a spiritual person to be angry. The consequence was the repetition of unjust or painful events, so that I would finally confront my emotions and allow my voice to break through from deep within me.
This is only one example of what can happen when we silence our voice.
Obviously, all of this happens for a reason — certain lessons, evidence of behaviour or thought. But when life stops moving and the body begins to show symptoms, one of those lessons is to express our voice. Even if no one listens. Even if they judge us.
Many people do not express their voice for various and valid reasons. Yet sometimes it is for reasons they themselves condemn: "Because I must be patient," "Because I do not want to hurt," "I do not want to complain all the time." And society builds this mania of considering it a crime to be true! This is why so many people are disconnected from themselves. But I will tell you: the moment I understood the signs of my body, the messages of life, compassion was created within me. The study I did in the field of self-knowledge also helped. Since then, I have made every effort to do something I always felt should be done: speak and express my opinion, say No, cry... I can tell you it is an indescribable feeling of freedom and peace.
So how does one reconnect through the voice?
First, we recognise our emotions and thoughts. We PAY ATTENTION. This is very important. To pay attention instead of DISCARDING.
Second, we process the fear of being judged or punished, or even of being humiliated or shamed. These are the main fears and blocks associated with the throat chakra and the voice.
As we work on our confidence, we develop self-love and fidelity to ourselves — because we are there to listen to and respect ourselves.
And so we gradually reconnect with our soul. It is no coincidence that the throat chakra, which represents the voice, is directly linked to the heart chakra.
It is so that we may express the voice of the heart directly.
If we align our thoughts with what moves in our heart and express without fear and through an energy of love — then we become aligned beings, integral beings. We become our authentic Self, recognised by society and by the universe.
